A Few Google Products
Before we start I believe it is necessary to discuss briefly one aspect
of how exactly Google makes money:
Google's targeted ads program is a service provided to both advertisers
and publishers. A company who wishes to advertise their website can sign
up with Google's AdWords program to get their website advertised to an
audience browsing sites similar to theirs.
The way in which Google can assure a company that their ads will show up
on potentially interested users' screens is by their innovative AdSense
program. Anybody who has a website can sign up for this program, allowing
them to display Google ads on their website. Google's bots will crawl their
site daily to determine what the content of their site is about and send
relevant ads to their site whenever it is viewed.
When a viewer of the publisher's website clicks on one of the targeted ads,
the company who the ad belongs to has to pay Google for the click. And the
great thing about the AdSense program is that the publisher of the site on
which the click originated gets a portion of the money paid to Google!
Note that the abovementioned programs aren't the only services Google
has to offer, they are merely of the most interest.
Google's services are mostly free and services like
AdSense and Checkout
provide a great opportunity for anyone to turn their website into a source
of income - if only to cover the cost of hosting it in the first place.
The Google Pack is a set of free utilities
that just about anyone would find useful.
Thank you for visiting! Enjoy the site!
While browsing this site be sure to take a look at all of the great services
Google has to offer!
