What is Google AdSense?
The AdSense program is a free service, provided to website owners, that
allows them to let Google advertise its sponsors on their website.
By signing up for the program and showing Google ads on your site
you will earn money whenever a viewer of your site clicks on one of
the ads.
Google AdSense also allows you to place a Google search area on your website,
so your users will be able to do a Google search of the web or your domain right
off your site.
The result page can be customized and will display related sponsored links
which will generate revenue for you if they are clicked.
AdSense is the easiest way by far to make money on the internet!
How does it work?
When first signing up for the AdSense program you need to provide
Google with a url to your website. Google will have a look at your
site and decide if they will allow you to take part in the program
based on criteria set out in their Program Policies which can
be viewed when you sign up.
If your website is accepted for the program you will be notified by
e-mail and your account will be active immediately.
Once your account is active the rest is extremely simple. Google
provides a setup website which you can access
through your new AdSense account. Follow the easy steps and paste
the generated code right into your html code.
Once you have an account you may place ads on any website
you own as long as it complies with the policies!
Now all you have to do is wait for Google's bot to crawl your site
(usually this will happen within a few hours) and you will see ads
relevant to your site's content appearing on your page whenever it
is loaded.
How do payments work?
Google AdSense works on a pay-per-click basis. This means that every
time somebody clicks an ad on your site the person/company who the ad
belongs to pays Google for a single click. Google then credits your
account with a percentage of this payment because the click originated
on your website!
The amount you get per click is not set and can range from a few cents
to a few dollars depending on what the company pays Google for the click.
You can monitor the clicks originating from your site and the balance of
your account by logging into the AdSense webpage.
When your account reaches $100 Google will send you a check or make an
electronic payment into your bank account if this option is available in
your country!
